The Research Associates (RAs) of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) in India are individuals who engage in research work under the DBT-Research Associateship Program in Biotechnology and its was started in 1999.

💰Stipend: RAs are awarded a fellowship of ₹55,000 per month, plus house rent allowance (HRA) and other benefits. The fellowship is tenable for two years, with the possibility of renewal for another two years based on satisfactory performance.

The scheme aims to support the Scheduled Tribe candidates from Scheduled Areas and the Saharia Area of Rajasthan to register themselves as research scholars with all recognized Central/State/Deemed/Private University located in any part of India for pursuing Ph.D. Programme.

💰Financial Assistance: | - The selected scholar shall be paid @ ₹15,000/- per month. | - A contingency grant of ₹40,000/- shall be given to the candidate for meeting the recurring expenditure viz. books/ Journals/Traveling/Stationery etc. | Tenure: | The tenure of the scholarship shall be for a period of maximum five years from the date of sanction from the Tribal Research Institute or completion of Ph.D. whichever is earlier. | Extension of Fellowship Term & Final Payments: | The scholarship term shall not be extended under any circumstances. If, per chance, the candidate fails to complete his/her Ph.D work within the period of five years, the final installment of scholarship (equivalent to six month and last installment of contingency) shall be withheld until the Ph.D. is awarded to the candidate.

The scheme "Research Grant for In-Service Faculty Members" was introduced by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Department of Higher Education (DoHE). The objective of this research grant is to provide opportunities to regularly appointed faculty members of Universities/ Institutes/ Colleges.

💰Tenure: 2 years. | Slots: 200 or as may be decided by the Commission | Financial Assistance: | - The quantum of support under the scheme is ₹ 10,00,000. | - The grant can be utilized for purchasing items like minor equipment, consumables, contingencies, fieldwork, travel, etc. | - The grant cannot be used for international travel, purchasing furniture items, or for appointing a project assistant or research fellow. | - The quantum of funds under these heads can be decided by the recipient depending on his / her needs. | - The items/equipment purchased from this grant shall be the property of the University. | Release of Grants: | The grant will be released in 3 installments to the university. | - Initially, 50% of the grant will be released on receipt of the joining report (Annexure-I). 1. The next installment of 25% of the research grant shall be paid on submission of the utilization certificate (_Annexure-II_) of the first installment. 1. The final installment of 25% of the research grant shall be released on a reimbursement basis on submitting the claims and utilization certificate of the second installment. | However, the tenure to utilize the whole grant shall be 2 years from the release of the first installment of the research grant.

💰Financial Assistance | - Financial assistance for Research Studies/Surveys would be up to a maximum of ₹50,00,000/-. | - In exceptional cases, the limit for Research Studies/Surveys could be enhanced up to ₹1,00,00,000/- with the approval of the Secretary, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). | - The quantum of financial assistance for National Seminars/Workshops/Conferences will be maximum ₹10,00,000/-. | - The quantum of financial assistance for International Seminars/Workshops/Conferences will be maximum ₹20,00,000/-. | - Financial assistance is provided towards the travel cost and related expenditures for presentation of accepted research papers in Theoretical/Applied Statistics in International Conferences/Seminars/Workshops, etc., held outside India. Such assistance includes airfare, registration fee, airport tax, visa fee, and per diem, as per the Government rules in force. | Conditions | - Research Studies/Surveys: The assistance will be released in three installments in the proportion of 40:40:20. | - Seminars/Workshops/Conferences: The amount will be released in two installments: the First installment of 50% before/during the Seminars/Workshops/Conferences after approval, and the remaining 50% based on actual expenditure as reimbursement. | - Travel Grants Assistance: The return air ticket (to and from) of a national carrier, i.e., Air India, will be provided by the shortest air route for the economy class. Financial assistance towards travel cost will cover all expenditures on travel between the place of work or place of residence and the airport in India, and between the airport abroad and the venue of the conference. | _*Release of assistance is linked to specific milestones to be achieved as per the time schedule indicated in the proposal and is aligned to the duration of the project._

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The scheme aims to encourage farmers and youth in Goa to take up Dairy business to increase local milk production and achieve state self-sufficiency. It offers a 40% composite subsidy on milk proceeds (incentive and cattle feed subsidy) to eligible resident farmers.

💰A composite subsidy amounting to 40% (forty percent) of the proceeds of milk supplied to the Dairy Co-operative Society/Bachat Gat/Self Help Group. | - Incentive on milk: 32.28% (thirty-two point two eight percent). | - Incentive on cattle feed: 7.72% (seven point seven two percent). | - The scheme is linked to the cattle feed subsidy scheme. | Disbursement | - Monthly disbursement of benefits to beneficiary's Bank account via Electronic Clearing System (ECS). | - The beneficiary must have a Bank account in any Bank having a core banking system/Electronic Clearing System (ECS). | Mandatory Obligations | - The beneficiary must produce their own milk at their Dairy Farm. | - The beneficiary must not procure milk from others and pour it to the Dairy Co-operative Society/Bachat Gat/Self Help Group in their name. | - The quantity of milk supplied and the number of milch animals reared by the farmers will be checked by the departmental area officer in addition to the supervisor/officials from the concerned organization. | - In case of any fraud or malpractice regarding milk supply or animal count, the Department shall stop the composite subsidy (incentive on milk and feed) forthwith. | - If fraud or malpractice occurs, the benefit of all schemes will be withdrawn. | - In matters of fraud or malpractice, the decision of the Director will be final and binding on the party.

💰Entitlement in the scheme shall be limited to ₹15 Lakhs per applicant unit and it can avail only once. | - Financial Assistance under the scheme provided for the following components- | a) Building Renovation - 25% of the total revival project cost limited to ₹2 lakh: | i) Building Renovation includes maintenance and repair of existing factory buildings, construction of fresh | roofing in the factory shed, infrastructure for Waste Disposal / Treatment facilities etc. | b) Plant & Machinery and Electrification - 40% of the total revival project cot limited to ₹8 lakh: | i) It will be available for the purchase of new machinery, Repair and Maintenance of Existing machines, | industrial electrification etc. | c) Working Capital (Margin) - 50% margin of working Capital loan approved by financial institution subject to | i) Assistance is limited to ₹2 lakhs for defunct MSMEs. | ii) Assistance is limited to ₹5 lakhs for Cashew Units. | d) Maximum Limit ₹12 lakhs for defunct MSMEs per unit. | e) Maximum Limit ₹15 lakhs for defunct cashew processing per unit. | Note 01: Bank Sanction of fresh working capital loan is mandatory for availing Working Capital (Margin) Assistance, but a bank loan is not mandatory for assistance for building renovation, plant and machinery, electrification etc. | Note 02: The assistance under the scheme shall be released to the eligible entrepreneur by the bank on a pro-rata basis.
