The scheme aims to enhance sugarcane productivity & quality in Uttarakhand by providing financial & technical support to farmers for improved seed production, seed & soil treatment, pest & disease management, thereby promoting sustainable farming & strengthening the livelihoods of sugarcane growers.

💰Scheme for Improved Sugarcane Seed Production: A subsidy of ₹1,000/- per hectare (₹2,000/- per hectare for SC/ST farmers) is provided for established/base nurseries, and ₹500/- per hectare (₹1,000/- per hectare for SC/ST farmers) is provided for primary nurseries. 1. Seed/Soil Treatment: A 50% subsidy is provided in all sugar mill areas for chemicals used in seed and soil treatment.
