Sthaniya Fasal Protsahan Karyakram

The program aims to promote the cultivation of local crops, enhance productivity, ensure the use of quality seeds, and provide fair prices to farmers in the mountain districts of Uttarakhand.

💰Under the scheme, the following objectives will be achieved by distributing verified seeds of local crops at 100% subsidy: | a. Distribution of certified seeds on subsidy to increase the cultivation area according to the specific region. | b. Ensuring the recommended seed replacement rate is met. | c. Enhancing production and productivity through the use of quality seeds. | d. Promoting and encouraging the cultivation of local pulse crops. | e. Ensuring farmers receive a fair price for their produce. | Seed production will be carried out by the Agriculture Department in clusters formed under the Traditional Agriculture Development Scheme, through the CLF/LC established under UGVS-REAP, and directly by the Agriculture Department. For crops where traditional clusters are not operational, clusters will be identified through CLF/LC for certified seed production. The Agriculture Department will conduct seed production programs in these areas, and the produced seeds will be distributed region-wise after appropriate allocation. | Traditional crops selected under the program: | - Kidney Beans 2. 💰Financial Assistance | Eligible students receive ₹1,000 per month as a stipend for 12 months and ₹2,000 per year as an allowance for books. | Coverage | The scheme applies to students pursuing non-professional courses in government and government-aided colleges and universities in Haryana. | Good Conduct Requirement | Scholarship installments are released only upon obtaining a good conduct and attendance certificate from the principal/head of the institution. | Reinstatement Condition | If a student drops out but re-joins and attends at least 50% of classes in three months, both the previously due installment and the current quarter’s installment are released. | Mode of Disbursement | - Payment is made via electronic transaction to the student’s bank account. | - In exceptional cases, payment may be made through a demand draft. | Frequency of Disbursement | The stipend is paid in four instalments per year: | - September: For July & August | - November: For September & October | - January: For November & December | - March: For January to June
