Overseas Visiting Doctoral Fellowship

The objective of the scheme is to build national capacity in frontier areas of Science and Engineering, which are of interest to India by providing research training to PhD students admitted in the Indian institutions in overseas universities / institutions of repute.

💰The selected fellows will be paid a monthly fellowship amount equivalent to US $ 2000, one-time Contingency/Preparatory allowances of ₹60,000/- to cover visa fees, airport transfer charges, medical insurance, etc. | - The selected fellows will also be provided the shortest route economy class airfare from their place of work in India to the place of the host institute and back. Students should make their own arrangements for accommodation etc. | - One visit, each by the Indian supervisor to the Overseas Institution where the student is working and overseas faculty to the host Indian Institution of the student is also admissible under the Scheme. The following provisions are made for them to undertake research visits: | - Travel: Both the Indian supervisor and overseas scientist will be provided the shortest route round-trip economy class airfare not exceeding ₹1.5 lakhs per round trip from their place of work to the city of the host institute and back. The scheme aims to ensure access to supplementary nutrition by all children, residing in hard-to-reach villages where there is no Anganwadi centers. This programme is functioning as an extension of respective Anganwadi Centers in the hard-to-reach villages.

💰Entitlements for children under Pada Pusti Karyakram:__ | The menu will be part of regular Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP) under ICDS for Anganwadi centers in Odisha and children of aged 3-6 years will be fed as per the government norm prescribed for spot feeding at Anganwadi Centre (AWC) for all six days in a week and minimum 300 days in a year. | Growth monitoring of children of Pada Pusti Karyakram village at Anganwadi Centre: | - Growth Monitoring of all children shall be done at the Anganwadi Centre every month as per the usual practice. | - The age, weight and height/length will be measured and recorded through Poshan Tracker and in other registers maintained by the Anganwadi worker. | - The Anganwadi Workers in consultation with ICDS supervisor shall fix a day in a month to visit the respective pada/village with all growth monitoring devises and take the measurements of all children. | Incentive for Pushti Sakhi: | - Pushti Sakhi will be given a monthly lumpsum incentive of ₹1,000/-.
