"Grant of 50% Subsidy for the Purchase of Aquarium and Its Accessories" is introduced with the objective to propagate the importance of aquarium keeping and to inculcate the art of aquarium keeping among the general public. The scheme is extended to all the regions of Puducherry.

💰The department has assessed the unit cost for the aquarium and its accessories at ₹ 7,000 per unit. | - The aquarium proposed to be issued to the beneficiaries consists of one aquarium/moulded aquarium, one stand, one power filter, one air pump, two numbers of 1’ tube lights, 10 kgs. of gravel, 9 numbers of gold fishes, 1 number of 100 grams fish food pocket and one number of scoop net. | Pattern of Assistance (in ₹) | - Unit cost: 7,000 (Maximum) | - 50% subsidy by Government: 3,500 (Maximum) | - 50% and above the cost of an aquarium to be paid by the beneficiary to the Secretary/Administrator of PSFCF/ KFCMU/ Fishermen Co-operative Societies in Mahe and Yanam: 3,500 (Maximum) | May vary from time to time.**

"Grant of Subsidy for Procurement of Vehicle" aims to facilitate the quick transportation of fish catches from landing centers to marketing places, thereby preventing/minimizing spoilage of fish. It provides a 50% subsidy for the procurement of specified vehicles.

💰50% subsidy for the purchase of auto goods carrier up to 1-ton capacity (maximum subsidy of ₹75,000). | - 50% subsidy for the purchase of a mini truck with 1-3 ton capacity (maximum subsidy of ₹1,50,000). | - 50% subsidy for the purchase of a mini lorry with 3-5 ton capacity (maximum subsidy of ₹3,50,000). | - 50% subsidy for the purchase of an insulated fish van with 5-10 ton capacity (maximum subsidy of ₹5,00,000). | - 50% subsidy for the purchase of a moped with an insulated ice-box (maximum subsidy of ₹15,000). | - 50% subsidy for the purchase of engine spares for boats (maximum subsidy of ₹2,000 per boat per annum). | Mode of Disbursement | The subsidy amount will be released to the bank and credited to the account of the beneficiary for whom the loan amount was sanctioned by the bank.

Grant Scheme for Cultivation of Aromatic Plants - Centre for Aromatic Plants

The scheme aims to encourage farmers to adopt the cultivation of commercially valuable aromatic crops such as lemongrass, citronella, palmarosa, khus, damask rose, mint (except Japanese mint), geranium, black cumin, rosemary, bay leaf, timur & sandalwood by providing financial assistance to them.

💰Under this scheme, the maximum grant limit for any individual farmer shall be ₹1.00 lakh or the grant amount admissible for the cultivation of up to 2 hectares of land (based on the survival rate of plants), whichever is less. | - The grant is provided for the cultivation of nine selected aromatic crops, namely aromatic grasses (lemongrass, citronella, palmarosa, khus, etc.), damask rose, mint (except Japanese mint), geranium, black cumin, rosemary, bay leaf, timur, and sandalwood, undertaken by the farmer at his or her own expense.

Under the Green House Scheme Farmers can get the benefit of subsidy on green house and earn more income by cultivating horticultural crops like vegetables, flowers, fruits etc. by controlling the ago-climatic factors, temperature, humidity and sunlight.

💰For areas up to a maximum of 4,000 square meters, farmers will receive subsidies grant based on approved rates or department-specified unit costs, whichever is lower. | - General-category farmers : 50% grant. | - Small, marginal, scheduled caste, and scheduled tribe farmers : 70% grant. | - The farmers of Scheduled Tribe areas and all the state's small and marginal category farmers : 25% additional grant.

Greenhouse Construction

The scheme aims to promote protected cultivation of vegetables and flowers by encouraging farmers to adopt greenhouse technology through substantial financial assistance and support, thereby increasing productivity, improving crop quality, and enhancing farmers’ income.

💰To promote vegetable and flower cultivation inside greenhouses, 50% to 80% of the total cost is provided as assistance for fan and pad systems, naturally ventilated polyhouses, and planting materials. The details are given below: | - For protected cultivation of flowers and vegetables, 50% of the total cost is provided for fan and pad systems or naturally ventilated polyhouses. | - Planting material for vegetables and flowers (seeds, flower bulbs and plants) is provided with a 50% subsidy. | - For greenhouse construction, 50% of the total cost is provided for fan and pad system polyhouses and tubular structure polyhouses. | - A 50% subsidy is provided for installing anti-hail nets. | Under the State Sector, an additional 25% subsidy is provided as the State share, making the total subsidy 75%. | Plastic mulching: To retain moisture and promote microflora around the roots, 50% of the total cost is provided for covering the land with plastic sheets. | Arrangement of planting material for protected cultivation: Planting materials under polyhouse cultivation (flower and vegetable seeds) are provided at a 50% subsidy. If the farmer purchases them from outside agencies (other than the department), 50% of the cost is reimbursed. | Support for greenhouse construction is available for an area of up to 4,000 sq. meters or 500 sq. meters as per the guidelines issued by the Government of India and the State Government. For a 500 sq. meter polyhouse, the State Government provides an additional 30% subsidy, allowing the farmer to receive a total subsidy of 80%.
