What you get

Under this scheme, to promote the development of irrigation facilities, farmers are provided a 50% subsidy on the total cost for the construction of new tubewells or ponds, up to a maximum of ₹90,000/- per unit (limited to one unit per farmer).

Who can apply

The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.; The applicant must be a farmer and must hold a valid Udhyan Card.; The farmer must either own agricultural land or have land on lease.; The farmer must confirm the availability of water in the concerned area.; A farmer is eligible for a subsidy for the construction of one tube well/pond.

How will a farmer know if their proposal is approved?

Once approved, the district officer sends an acceptance letter and also informs the farmer over the phone.
