Common Questions
Who can apply under this scheme?
The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand, a farmer, and their name must be mentioned in the revenue records of the cultivable land.
What is the subsidy provided under the scheme?
SC/ST farmers, small and marginal farmers, and women farmers (of all castes) are eligible for 50% financial assistance, while large farmers are eligible for 40% financial assistance.
How can a farmer apply for the scheme?
Farmers can apply online through the SMAM portal (http://agrimachinery.nic.in) or through the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) within the dates specified in the advertisement issued by the Agriculture Department.
What if a farmer cannot apply online?
Farmers who cannot apply online can seek assistance from the Development Block-level Officer of the Agriculture Department.
How is the application processed?

What is the basis for allotting subsidy?
The scheme follows a first-come, first-served basis. Each district has a specific target, and applications are processed until the target is achieved. Remaining farmers can apply in the next year.
How is the subsidy amount transferred to the farmer?
After verification of bills by the Agriculture Department, the subsidy amount is transferred directly to the farmer’s bank account through DBT.
