The scheme aims to promote growth of fisheries sector by providing financial assistance & technical support for modern fisheries activities, thereby increasing fish production,improving livelihood opportunities,& encouraging adoption of advanced fisheries infrastructure among eligible beneficiaries.

What you get

A 60% subsidy is provided to SC/ST and Women beneficiaries for pond construction, trout units, rearing units, RAS, biofloc units, cage culture, cold storage, motorcycles with ice boxes, fish kiosks, ornamental fisheries, feed mills, hatcheries, and similar activities. Who can apply

The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.; The applicant may belong to any caste category, including General, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), or be a woman.; The applicant must have availability of land and a water supply source.

What is the subsidy amount provided to SC/ST/Women beneficiaries?

SC/ST/Women beneficiaries receive 60% subsidy on the approved project cost.

Is there a separate subsidy rate for large RAS units?

Yes, large Recirculatory Aquaculture System (RAS) units receive a 20% subsidy.

Where should the application be submitted?

The application must be submitted to the office of the Assistant Director of Fisheries or District Fisheries In-charge at the district level.

Will the application process be available online?

Yes. In the future, applications will be processed online through the Apuni Sarkar Portal.

Who approves the final proposal?

The relevant district officer reviews and approves the proposal.

How is the subsidy provided to the beneficiary?

After verification, the subsidy is transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
