What you get

In all districts, especially considering road blockages during disasters, arrangements are being made in coordination with the Health Department and the Women and Child Development Department to provide free accommodation for pregnant women from identified areas in the “One Stop Centre” (run by the Women Empowerment Department). These centres, operated as Birth Waiting Rooms near District Hospitals, allow women to stay up to 15 days before their expected delivery date, ensuring that in case of emergencies or disasters, they can be promptly admitted to the nearest hospital for a safe institutional delivery. A “One Stop Centre” has been established in every district.
