Who is eligible to apply for a White Ration Card?

Are tribal households eligible?
Yes. Tribal households residing in tribal or border areas with income less than ₹15,000 are eligible.
Where can an applicant obtain the application form?
Forms are available at the Gram Panchayat Development Officer’s office or the District Supply Officer’s office.
When is a new ration card issued?
A new ration card is issued only when a vacancy arises, based on district-level population targets set by the Government of India. Approved applicants can collect their ration card from the relevant district food supply office within 10 days.
