What you get

- Under this scheme, a grant is provided for self-employment. On taking a loan of ₹1 lakh to ₹10 lakh, a grant of 25% of the loan amount is given, with a minimum grant of ₹25,000/- and a maximum of ₹2,50,000/-. | - The benefit of the scheme is available only on taking a loan, in which 60% of the project cost is provided as a loan, 25% as grant/subsidy by the department, and 15% as contribution by the applicant. | - Interest on the loan will be charged according to the current prevailing rates of the bank.

Who can apply

The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.; The applicant must belong to a minority community (Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Parsi, Buddhist, or Jain).; The applicant’s age should be between 18 and 55 years.; The annual family income from all sources should not exceed ₹2,50,000/-, or the applicant should be a member of a BPL family.

Selected applicants’ forms are sent to the respective bank for loan sanction. Once the loan is sanctioned, the district office processes the grant release from the corporation headquarters.

How is the grant disbursed?

After approval from the Managing Director of the corporation, 40% of the grant is sent to the bank once the beneficiary contributes their 15% share. The remaining grant is released to the beneficiary as per scheme norms.
