The applicant must be a youth of Uttarakhand.; Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the Low Altitude Guide Course from a recognized institution or an Adventure Foundation Course run by DTDC.

The prescribed application format along with necessary documents must be submitted to the office of the District Tourism Development Officer (DTO).

After initial screening and tests, a selection committee at the headquarters reviews applications and finalizes the list of participants.
How is the selection list communicated?
The District Tourism Development Officer sends the list of selected applicants to the headquarters, and the final selection is communicated to the candidates.
