The scheme aims to promote horticulture development in Uttarakhand by providing farmers with subsidized fruit plants, seeds, pesticides, & horticulture infrastructure such as Cool Houses & Refrigerator Vans, thereby increasing productivity, reducing post-harvest losses, & enhancing farmers’ income.

What you get

Under this scheme, the following assistance is provided: | - 50% subsidy on the cost of fruit plants, open-field vegetable seeds, spice seeds, and flower seeds. No direct monetary assistance is provided; the seeds and plants are supplied at a subsidized rate. | - 60% subsidy on the cost of pesticides and other plant protection chemicals. No direct cash is given; the medicines are provided at a subsidized rate. | - 50% subsidy on the total cost of ₹15.00 lakh for Cool Houses with a capacity of 30 MT. | - 50% subsidy on the total cost of ₹26.00 lakh for Refrigerator Vans with a capacity of 9 MT.

The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.; The applicant must be a farmer and hold a valid Udhyan Card.; The farmer must either own agricultural land or have land on lease.

The subsidy is provided after the farmer purchases the van or constructs the Cool House, following a site inspection by departmental officials.

How are beneficiaries selected?

Beneficiaries are selected on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the availability of budget.
