How can an applicant apply for the scheme?

Currently, the scheme is operated offline. Applicants must submit their applications to the District Level Implementation Unit (DLIA) along with the bank’s consent letter for loan approval. Once the departmental portal is operational, applications will be accepted online.

What is the role of the District Level Implementation Unit (DLIA)?

The DLIA receives and scrutinizes applications, prepares a list of eligible applicants, forwards them for approval, and coordinates with banks and the treasury for payment of interest subsidy.

What happens after the application is submitted?

The DLIA scrutinizes all received applications, prepares a list of eligible beneficiaries, and grants final approval after verifying the documents and bank loan consent.

How is the interest subsidy disbursed?

The bank provides quarterly information to the DLIA on the amount of interest subsidy due. The DLIA then prepares a bill and submits it to the treasury for payment to the concerned bank.
