In the fiscal year 2023-24, the Uttarakhand Tea Development Board processed 5.92 lakh kilograms of green tea leaves and produced approximately 1.25 lakh cups of tea. | At present, the Board has established its own tea factories in the following districts: | - Tea Factory, Ghorakhal (Nainital) – Organic | - Tea Factory, Champawat – Organic | - Tea Factory, Bhatoli (Chamoli) – Organic | - Tea Factory, Kausani (Bageshwar) – Inorganic | - Tea Factory, Harinagari (Bageshwar) – Inorganic | In addition to the above, the Board is proposing to establish small tea factories in the following districts: | - Tea Factory, Dhauladevi (Almora) | - Tea Factory, Didihat (Pithoragarh)

Who can apply

It is proposed to operate the above tea factories established by the Board in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode/private sector in the future, for which the eligibility criteria and policy are being prepared.
