Assistance Scheme for Handloom Spinning-Weaving Women Workers

The scheme aims to provide financial support to traditional women workers whose primary occupation is handloom weaving, spinning, or related weaving activities. Under this scheme, eligible women workers are provided with handloom equipment, including looms & related equipment, worth upto ₹25,000/-.

What you get

Under this scheme, for providing handloom / pantloom / frameloom and other related tools and equipment to selected women workers, 90% of the total cost (up to a maximum of ₹25,000/-) will be borne by the department, while the remaining 10% will be contributed by the beneficiary herself.

Who can apply

The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.; The applicant must be a woman worker who belong to a family whose ancestral occupation is weaving, spinning, knitting, or allied handloom activities.; Preference will be given to women workers who have experience in the handloom sector but are unable to carry out weaving work due to the unavailability of a loom.; The woman worker must be registered with the Government of India or Government of Uttarakhand.
