In case of BPL Category applicant, the concerned District Sports Officer shall be asked to inquire into the BPL status of the applicant and get a certificate to that effect from the respective Block Development Officer and forward the same to the Dept.
How is financial assistance sanctioned and disbursed by the Sports & YS Department?
Upon verifying the genuineness and eligibility of the application, the Sports & Youth Services Department sanctions the financial assistance. The Course Fee is remitted directly to the SAI Bank Account, and the remaining amount is deposited into the bank account of the applicant.
What is the commitment required from beneficiaries who avail financial assistance from the government?
Beneficiary candidates availing financial assistance are required to render two years of service in the Sports & Youth Services Department for coaching, if their services are requisitioned by the Department. The benefits are provided as per the rules in vogue for coaches at that time.
