Is honorarium also provided the volunteers who serve on part-time basis?

No, the volunteers are need to be full-time in order to receive honorarium under this scheme.

Is the honorarium provided as a lump sum or on monthly basis?

The honorarium is [?] 5000 per volunteer and is provided on monthly basis.

What would be the mode of payment of the honorarium?

The honorarium will either be paid in cash or paid online.

How many volunteers are deployed every year under this scheme?

Every year, a total of 12,000 volunteers shall be deployed at the block level in the country.

I am a 27 year old full-time student studying in 2nd year. Am i eligible to apply?

Students who have enrolled themselves as a regular students are not eligible for deployment under the scheme, keeping in view of the nature of their full time assignment.

Is there a percentage of slots reserved for girl students?

Yes, 50:50 gender ratios should be maintained to the extent possible under this scheme.

Is there a reservation for SC / ST?

There is no reservation as such but participation of weaker sections such as SC/ST community will be encouraged.

Is there any application fee?

No. The entire application process is completely free of cost.

Where do I find the format of the application form?

The format can be found in Annexure-I of the scheme guidelines.

I have successfully submitted the application form online. What are the next steps?

If shortlisted, the applicant is required to bring the filled in application form along with all relevant documents in original as well as photocopy and two recent passport size photographs at the time of interview, if shortlisted.
