Who can apply

The applicant must not be an employee of either Central or State Govt.; The applicant must have been Hospitalized / Undergoing Treatment in a Government Hospital (including super specialty Government hospitals / institutes).; The Total Annual Family Income of the applicant must not exceed ₹1,00,000/- per annum.

Are there any exclusions to the eligible beneficiaries?

Yes, the following are not eligible to avail benefits under HMDG: | Prolonged treatment involving recurring expenditure is not permissible. | diseases of common nature where treatment is not expensive. | T.B. cases | Cases for treatment in private hospital. | Central as well as State Government employees.
