What you get

- A one-time financial grant of ₹31,000 is provided for the marriage of BPL girls/women. | NOTE: | - The grant is given to parents/guardians or the girl herself (if her parents are not alive/traceable). | - The grant can be disbursed up to 2 months before the proposed date of marriage. | - If the marriage has already taken place, the grant may be claimed within 6 months of the marriage date.

Who can apply

The girl applicant must be a bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.; The girl must be 18 years of age or above at the time of marriage.; The marriage grant will be given even if the girl from Himachal Pradesh is marrying a boy from outside the state of Himachal Pradesh.; The family of the applicant girl must be living below the poverty line (BPL).; If the parents of the girl are not alive or traceable, the girl herself can apply.; The groom must be above 21 years of age.; The applicant should not have availed benefits from Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojna or any other similar departmental marriage grant scheme.; Those destitute left out women who are not financially able to perform their re-marriage can also apply.
