The scheme aims to inculcate values of patriotism, national integration, and communal harmony in children through choreographic dance competitions. Educational institutions can participate with dance groups performing on Konkani patriotic songs to win monetary prizes and recognition.

Who can apply

The applicant must be an educational institution.; The applicant must form a dance group consisting of not less than 6 dancers.; The applicant must form a dance group consisting of not more than 10 dancers.; The applicant must choose to participate in either Standard 1st-4th category or Standard 5th-10th category.; The applicant must perform on only one patriotic song in Konkani language.; The applicant must not use fusion of different songs in their performance.; The applicant must provide a recorded copy of the song on Compact Disc along with the application form.; The applicant must read and understand all rules and regulations of the organization.; The applicant must abide by all competition rules and regulations.; The applicant must accept that the decision of the panel of judges will be final and binding.; The applicant must accept that Tiatr Academy of Goa reserves the right to make any changes in the rules.

Can our dance group use a mixture of different patriotic songs to create a more diverse performance for the competition?

No, only one patriotic song in Konkani must be used to perform the dance. No fusion of different songs will be considered for evaluation.

What is the minimum and maximum number of students that can participate as dancers in our school's group?

Each participating group should consist of not less than 6 or more than 10 dancers to be eligible for the competition.

Are there different competition categories based on the age or standard of our participating students?

Yes, the competition is held in two categories: Standard 1st to Standard 4th and Standard 5th to Standard 10th.

How much traveling allowance will our school receive if we are located 25 kilometers away from the venue?

Participating groups coming from a distance of 20 kilometers or more will be paid ₹4,000/- as traveling allowance.

What happens if our school applies after 25 other schools have already registered for the competition?

Only 25 participating troupes will be permitted in the competition on first come first serve basis, so late applications may not be accepted.

Is it mandatory to provide the recorded song along with our application form submission?

Yes, participants should furnish a recorded copy of the song on Compact Disc along with the application form, and the Compact Disc is returnable.

What prize money can we expect if our group from Standard 1st to 4th category wins the first position?

The 1st Prize for Standard 1st to Standard 4th category is ₹7,000/- plus memento and certificate.

How much traveling allowance will be provided if our school is located within 15 kilometers from the competition venue?

Participating groups coming from within a radius of more than 10 kilometers and less than 20 kilometers will be paid ₹3,000/- as traveling allowance.

Will refreshments be arranged for our students and the teacher accompanying them to the competition venue?

Yes, refreshments will be provided for the participants and their in-charge during the competition.

What is the prize amount for the best choreographer award in the Standard 5th to 10th category?

The Best Choreographer award for both categories carries a prize of ₹3,000/- plus memento and certificate.

Can we challenge or appeal against the judges' decision if we are not satisfied with the results?

No, the panel of judges' decision will be final and binding, and no appeals or challenges are permitted.

How much prize money will our school receive if we secure the second position in Standard 5th to 10th category?

The 2nd Prize for Standard 5th to Standard 10th category is ₹7,000/- plus memento and certificate.

Will our school receive any traveling allowance if we are located just 8 kilometers away from the competition venue?

Yes, participating groups coming from within a radius of 10 kilometers will be paid ₹2,000/- as traveling allowance.
