What you get

- Financial Support | - For improving aspects of Tiatr production, including Direction, Stage Setting, Live Band Music with at least 2 blowing instruments, Light Effects, Background Music, Costumes, Make-up, and Transport. | - The extent of the financial support shall be fixed by Tiatr Academy of Goa. | - Direct payment to the Institution based on submitted bills. | Conditions | _The troupe must compulsorily participate in workshops organized by Tiatr Academy of Goa by deputing at least one of its members; otherwise, they will not be entitled to avail the benefits of this scheme._ | _The Tiatr must not contain any adverse remark in any form, either written or verbal, against any Government/Individual/Institution, etc., or anything against one’s caste, creed, and religion which may lead to hurting of religious sentiments; if proved so, Tiatr Academy of Goa reserves the right to disqualify the performance and refrain from making any payment or recall the payment if already made._ | _All advertisements, oral, print or electronic media, banners/standees, etc., must insert/publish and announce before the performance and during the interval that ‘This Tiatr is staged in collaboration with Tiatr Academy of Goa’._ | - Video Recording of Tiatr and Digital Versatile Disc Copy | - Tiatr Academy of Goa will video record the said Tiatr for its Library and other uses. One copy of the Digital Versatile Disc will be given to the Institution free of cost. To preserve the presentation of Tiatr for future generations. | - The dramatic troupe will have the freedom to use the Digital Versatile Disc in any manner, but cannot make use of the logo of Tiatr Academy of Goa on the said Digital Versatile Disc. | The videographer will be appointed by Tiatr Academy of Goa. | - Expertise and Workshops | Tiatr Academy of Goa will provide expertise to the troupes in the different compartments of Tiatr (Direction, Stage Setting, Live Band Music, Light Effects, Background Music, Costumes, Make-up, Transport) by organizing workshops in those aspects. | Conditions | _*The troupe will have to compulsorily participate in these workshops by deputing at least one of the members of the troupe._

Who can apply

The applicant must be a dramatic troupe.; The applicant must be participating in the Tiatr Competitions organized by Kala Academy.; The applicant must fulfill the conditions laid down in the scheme as per the format enclosed.; The applicant's Tiatr script will be scrutinized by a scrutiny committee who will submit a report on whether the Tiatr is as per the format.; The applicant must ensure that one typed copy of the Tiatr script and one typed copy each of the lyrics of the songs are submitted to Tiatr Academy of Goa along with the application form.; The applicant must ensure that handwritten copies of scripts and lyrics will not be accepted.; The applicant's Tiatr, in any form either written or verbal, must not contain any adverse remarks against any Government/Individual/Institution, etc., or anything against one’s caste, creed, and religion which may lead to hurting of religious sentiments of anybody.; The applicant must compulsorily participate in workshops organized by Tiatr Academy of Goa by deputing at least one of the members of the troupe.

You must submit one typed copy each of the complete script and all song lyrics. Handwritten copies of scripts and lyrics will not be accepted under any circumstances.

All your advertisements, whether oral, print, electronic media, banners, or standees, must prominently state 'This performance is staged in collaboration with Academy of Goa'. This announcement must also be made before the performance and during the interval.

Can we participate in this financial assistance program if we are a commercial dramatic troupe looking to make profit?

This scheme is specifically designed to encourage non-commercial dramatic troupes only. Commercial troupes are not eligible for participation in this program.

What type of content restrictions apply to our performance script and verbal presentations during the actual show?

Your performance must not contain any adverse remarks in written or verbal form against any Government, Individual, Institution, or anything against caste, creed, and religion that may hurt religious sentiments.

You must submit original bills along with a statement of expenditure. For amounts exceeding ₹5,000, receipts must be stamped, and payments will be made directly to your institution.

Are we allowed to benefit from other village or urban area production schemes if we receive assistance under this program?

No, if you avail the benefit of this scheme for a particular performance, you cannot take benefit of the "Production in Villages/urban areas/Educational Institutes" scheme for the same performance.

You must provide self-attested copies of Aadhaar Card and Permanent Account Number Card, along with your registration under Societies Act number and complete contact details.

Will we receive any form of recording or documentation of our performance for our own future reference and use?

Yes, Academy will video record your performance for their library and provide you one Digital Versatile Disc copy free of cost, which you can use freely.
