Can scholarship holders hold any other educational scholarships concurrently?
No.
Can students migrate from one institution to another during the academic year?
Migration of students from one institution to another would not normally be allowed during the course of the academic year except under exceptional circumstances and in the interest of the student's academic career.
Is there a restriction on the number of scholarships for siblings?
Only two boys from the same parents/guardian are entitled to receive scholarships. However, this restriction does not apply to girls.
What is the prerequisite for availing the scholarship regarding attendance?
Regular attendance, not less than 75% in the previous year, is a prerequisite for availing the scholarship.
Are there any specific provisions for students with disabilities and girls?
At least 5% of students with disabilities should be covered for the grant of scholarships, and 30% of the beneficiaries should be reserved for girl students.
Can the scholarship be renewed for the next academic year?
Yes, the scholarship may be renewed for the next academic year by the concerned State Government/Union Territory Administration unless discontinuation is recommended by the competent authority of the school.
What happens if a student is unable to appear in the annual examination due to illness?
If a student is unable to appear in the annual examination owing to illness, the award may be renewed subject to the production of a medical certificate from a prescribed authority and acceptance of the same by the institution.
Can a student receive the scholarship for repeating a class?
No, the scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year.
