Rate of Scholarships, Academic Fee & Maintenance Allowance: | Stream: General Degree | - Number of Scholarships: 2070 (fixed) | - Academic Fee (Upper limit): ₹30,000/- | - Maintenance Charges (Fixed): ₹1,00,000/- | Stream: Professional/Engineering/B.Sc.Nursing / B. Pharmacy/ B. Architecture (subject to NATA)/HMCT Degree | - Number of Scholarships: 2830 (flexible) | - Academic Fee (Upper limit): ₹1,25,000/- | - Maintenance Charges (Fixed): ₹1,00,000/- | Stream: Medical/BDS or equivalent Medical Stream (subject to NEET, wherever applicable) | - Number of Scholarships: 100 (flexible) | - Academic Fee (Upper limit): ₹3,00,000/- | - Maintenance Charges (Fixed): ₹1,00,000/- | Not exceeding ₹1,00,000 per annum (in ten equal installments to meet hostel, mess, books, stationery & other incidentals). Fresh students admitted in the academic session 2024-25 onwards maintenance allowance will be paid through NSP portal. | The number of scholarships for engineering and medical studies would be kept flexible, subject to the ceiling of 5000 fresh scholarships per annum and subject to the savings accruing from any shortfall in the number of students opting for general degree courses | Disbursement of Scholarship: | - The scholarship towards academic fees will be paid directly to the Institution as per claim or as per rate fixed by the respective State Fee Regulatory Authority or as fixed by any Regulatory Authority appointed by the Government, whichever is less and within the overall ceiling fixed for the course. | - All the Institutions may note that the upper ceiling of the Academic Fee inclusive of all admissible components taken together is ₹1,25,000/- for the Professional / Engineering Stream; ₹30,000/- for General Stream and ₹3,00,000 for Medical Stream. | - Even if the total fee of the institute is more than the ceiling, neither AICTE shall reimburse the extra amount nor the institute can charge the same from the students. | - The fixed maintenance allowance of ₹1,00,000 per annum for all streams will be paid to the bank account of the student through NSP portal using the PFMS gateway in 10 monthly installments of ₹10,000/- each. | Duration of Scholarships: | - The scholarships granted under the scheme are renewed in subsequent classes subject to good conduct and maintenance of attendance as prescribed by the respective institution. | - Students failing to get promoted to the next class/level would get the scholarship in the following year subject to the condition that if the student fails again for the second time, then he/she would forfeit the scholarship, and the scholarship would not be renewed for the subsequent years. | - If a scholar is unable to appear in the annual examination owing to illness and/or on account of any unforeseen incident, the scholarship may be renewed for the next academic year on submission of a medical certificate and other proof to satisfy the Head of the Institution who will also certify the same. The scholarship will not be paid twice for the same year of study.

Who can apply

Candidates should be domicile of Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh.; Candidates must have passed 12th examination from JKBOSE or CBSE affiliated schools located in UTs of J&K and Ladakh.; The family income of the Candidate should be less than or equal to ₹8,00,000 per annum.; The candidate who wants to take admitted under the Lateral Entry Scheme have to pass a Diploma in Engineering from the Polytechnic Institutes recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education(DTE), UTs of J&K and Ladakh.; Candidates are compulsorily required to apply online on the AICTE web-portal and verify their documents through nearest Facilitation Centers of UTs of J&K and Ladakh within time frame.; Admission under the Lateral Entry Scheme will be subject to allocation of seats / vacant seats of the preceding year in the Engineering Stream and in the relevant stream only.; Merit list will be prepared for HSC and Lateral Entry students and the same shall be displayed on the student’s portal only for conduction of online counselling for final allotment of seats in colleges to eligible candidate’s subject to choice filling/availability of scholarships.

I Have Submitted My Application, Is Documents Verification at Facilitation Centre Is Necessary?

Yes, without documents verification at Facilitation Centre created by J&K and Ladakh Government, students are not eligible for Scholarship. Further the choice filling option will not be opened for the respective candidate.

Is Attending Online Counseling Mandatory For Eligible Students For Availing Benefits Under SSSJKL?

Yes, it is mandatory for all the students to attend the online counseling process or want to take admission on/her own for General/Professional/Engineering stream courses subject to Methodology available on the AICTE website, for availing benefits under the scheme SSSJKL. For Medical students NEET counseling for availing benefits under the scheme SSSJKL. For B.Sc.(Nursing) students, NEET is also mandatory wherever applicable.

I Have Submitted My Online Application For SSSJKL Scholarship. Is It Possible To Edit My Application?

Yes, officer of Facilitation Centre can only edit the online application form, subject to the production of original documents in support of your claim/request for editing.

I Am An Eligible Candidate For SSSJKL Scholarship. How Can I Apply For Registration Of This Scholarship?

Log on to AICTE Website and follow the Steps to apply for “Online Registration for scholarship” and follow the instructions on how to fill the online application. | Step 1: Open AICTE Website via link: https://www.aicte-india.org/bureaus/jk Step 2: Go to SSSKL tab on the home page. | Step 3: Further click on the tab of and register yourself by following the instructions.

What Format Or Size Of Photo And Signature To Upload In Website For SSSJKL Scholarship?

Both photo & signature should be in .JPG /.PDF/.PNG format with size of the file should be less than 2 MB.

Is It Necessary To Submit Separate Online Application For General & Engineering Course?

Candidates are required to select “Both” option from the dropdown menu under “Stream applied for” field, if they want to apply for both General & Engineering Stream under J&K SSSJKL while submitting online application. The candidate need to fill only one application form.

I Have Filled & Submitted My Online Application Form. What Should I Do Next?

Take printout of online filled application and visit your nearest facilitation centre along with original documents & one set of self-attested photocopies of all original documents for verification. The details are given in AICTE website.

To Which Facilitation Centre Should I Go For Document Verification?

You can go to any one of the nearest facilitation centers established by Govt. of UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh as per your convenience for document verification and after that choice filling option would be open. (List of Facilitation Centers is available at AICTE Website).

Is There Any Document I Should Collect From Facilitation Centre After Document Verification process?

Yes, you must collect document verification report (Student Copy) from the facilitation centre without fail.

Is It Necessary For Me To Submit Original Documents To The Facilitation Centre After The Document verification?

No, original documents are to be submitted in the facilitation centers. However, you have to show all the original documents to the Nodal Officer for verification.

I Have Done Diploma In Engineering Field, Can I Apply Under SSSJKL?

Yes, Candidates who want to take admission under Lateral Entry Scheme have passed Diploma in Engineering from the Polytechnics recognized by UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh directorate of technical education. Admission under Lateral Entry Scheme will be subject to vacant seats available during last academic year in Engineering Stream only.

I Wish To Pursue My Studies In IIT/NIT/Institute Of National Importance/Centrally Funded Institutions Programs/Courses On My Own Without Participating In SSSJKL Counseling Process, Am I Eligible For SSSJKL Scholarship?

Students who qualify entrance examination conducted by Central Govt. (NEET/JEE) are eligible for scholarships, if they have registered themselves under SSSKL scheme. Candidates are required to get their documents verified by nearest Facilitation Center.

I Wish To Pursue My Studies In Architecture Course On My Own Without Participating In SSSJKL Counseling Process. Am I Eligible For SSSJKL Scholarship?

Students taking the Architecture course are required to qualify for the NATA examination and register themselves under SSSJKL scheme. Candidates are required to get their documents verified by Facilitation Center.

I Have Taken Admission Under Management Quota, Am I Eligible For SSSJKL Scholarship?

No, Candidates taking admission under Management Quota or by Agents / NGO are not eligible for SSSJKL Scholarship.

When And How Do I Have To Upload My Joining Report?

After freezing the seat, candidate is required to report to the allotted college immediately and upload the joining report from SSSJKL institute Portal within stipulated time period. Also complete admission process as per Institute/University rules.
