💰A total of ₹8 lakhs is spent to establish Sastraposhini laboratories (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) in one school with a fair share from KSCSTE. | - Training will be provided to selected teachers from Sastraposhini schools by eminent scholars/ academicians from different disciplines. | - Laboratory manuals and visual experimental aids and models will be provided to the selected schools. | - Training programme for teachers: | - Two teachers each in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from Sastraposhini schools are invited to participate in a training programme. The trained teachers will be in charge of each laboratory. | - Scientists/academicians offer classes on creating science awareness, good laboratory practices, setting up of laboratories, and practical demonstrations. Based on the training received, the teachers will be encouraged to carry out innovative projects in science for children utilizing the facilities of Sastraposhini laboratories.

The objective of the scheme is to provide additional financial assistance (scholarship) to the ST students pursuing higher education after Senior Secondary i.e. 12th Standard in the Colleges/Universities anywhere in India, as an incentive to supplement the cost of their education.

💰Value of Additional Scholarship: | - Under this scheme of additional scholarships for Scheduled Tribe Students, an amount of ₹1000/- per month shall be given to the eligible students. | Payment and mode of disbursal of additional scholarship: | - The additional scholarship shall be payable for ten months in an academic session. | - The additional scholarship shall be normally admissible to the pass-out students of the previous academic session. | - The additional scholarship money shall be directly released to the bank account of the beneficiaries by the Directorate of Tribal Welfare.

The objective of the scheme is to provide additional scholarship to the OBC students belonging to the non-creamy layer of Andaman & Nicobar Islands for pursuing higher education after Secondary (X)/Senior Secondary (XII), in government-recognized Polytechnic/ITI/College/University anywhere in India.

💰Value of Scholarship: | - Under this scheme, an amount of ₹1000/- per month shall be sanctioned to the eligible students belonging to the OBC category. | Payment and Mode of Disbursal of Scholarship: | - The scholarship shall be payable for a duration of ten months in an academic session. | - The scholarship shall be admissible only to the passed-out students of the previous academic session. (e.g. A student after passing Class XI/Class XII will be eligible for a scholarship only after he/she completes 1st year of the higher education/professional course ) | - The scholarship amount shall be directly credited to the Aadhaar-linked bank account of the beneficiary by the Department of Social Welfare. | - The award of a scholarship will depend upon the fund availability in a particular financial year.

The scheme “Scheme for Interest Subvention to Nano Household Enterprises” has been introduced to promote the Nano and household enterprises in the state.

💰The unit will be eligible for interest subvention to an extent of 6% per annum for the term loan availed by the unit on a reimbursement basis for three years. | - For women and SC/ST enterprises, the interest subvention will be 8% for three years. | - The assistance shall be limited to the fixed percentage of the composite investment upon | (a) plant & machinery, | (b) other fixed assets including essential office equipment and | (c) Electrification cost of Land and Building shall not be included in the Fixed Capital Investment under this scheme. | Note: In the event of default on repayment of the loan with interest at the end of 1st year, the subvention will not be passed. The same is applicable for 2nd and 3rd years.

The scheme “Margin Money Grant to Nano Units” is a loan-linked scheme operated by Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Kerala. 💰Units with project costs up to ₹10 Lakhs will be covered in the scheme. | - Margin Money Grant of 30% to 40% of the Total Project cost according to the category of the applicant. | - Women, Youth (Age between 18 and 40), Differentially-Abled Persons, Ex-Servicemen, and persons belonging to the SC/ST category will be eligible for a 10% additional Grant. | - The maximum limit of margin money grant under the scheme shall be ₹4 lakhs per unit as follows. | a. 💰Groups of a maximum of 5 students of Class VIII-XII from a school will be selected for financial assistance of up to ₹5,000/- for doing a science project. | - Financial assistance will be provided to the host school and the students have to work under the guidance/supervision of a teacher. | - Awardees are encouraged to participate in the Science Talent Fair, National Children’s Science Congress, or Kerala Science Congress organized by KSCSTE to present their projects/findings. | - The duration of the project is one year.

The scheme “Scheme for Promoting Young Talents in Science-II (SPYTiS-II)” is constituted for the purpose of providing financial and technical assistance to talented young students who have innovative ideas in scientific/technological pursuits.

💰Students who have innovative ideas in science & technology are enrolled in polytechnic colleges and undergraduate courses in colleges will be provided financial assistance up to ₹10,000/- for conducting projects. | - Financial assistance will be provided to the host institution and the students have to work under the guidance/supervision of a teacher. | - Awardees are encouraged to participate in the Science Talent Fair, National Children’s Science Congress, or Kerala Science Congress organized by KSCSTE to present their projects/findings. | - The duration of the project is one year. | - Under the scheme, no major equipment for research will be granted. Minor equipment, if found necessary, will be granted only to an institution in the State. In such a case, the budget for minor equipment shall be limited to 30% of the maximum eligible amount. Further, all permanent assets evolved from the project shall be the assets of the institution.

The scheme aims to protect and support the thousands of children living in slums and on the streets of Goa, also orphans and runaways escaping poverty, neglect or abuse. These children are often at great risk from malnutrition, illness and neglect, and need a helping hand in healthcare, shelter etc.

💰An amount of ₹ 25,00,000 shall be sanctioned as a time grant to the selected institutions/NGOs as per clause (A).1. The quantum of financial assistance to the eligible institutions under clauses (B) & (C) shall be as per the recommendation of the selection committee and the approval of the government. | - Enhanced grants as per clause (C) shall be considered on a case-to-case basis. However, the total grants in each case under the scheme shall not be more than ₹ 1,00,00,000.
