Ashirbad: Scheme for Specially Cared Children

The scheme aims for in-situ rehabilitation & continuation of their life in similar family based non-institutional socio-cultural environment, where ever feasible & in the best interest of child & to ensure that care givers & other kith & kins are encouraged to provide best of care to these children.

💰Categories of Beneficiaries: | - Category 2(A): Children who have lost both parents on or after 1 April 2020.- Category 2(B): Children who have lost a single parent (including cases where the death of the other parent occurred earlier).- Category 2(C): Children who have lost one parent who was the primary bread earner and continue to live with the remaining parent. | - Children under Kith and Kin Care (Category 2(A) & 2(B)): ₹2,500/- per month till the child attains 18 years of age or till adoption, whichever is earlier. The amount is electronically transferred to the bank account of the caregiver's family towards the maintenance, health, and education of the child.1. Children in Institutional Care (Category 2(A) & 2(B)): ₹1,000/- per month till the child attains 18 years of age or till adoption, whichever is earlier. The amount is deposited as a recurring deposit in the bank account of the child, in addition to free care and protection under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.1. Children Living with Remaining Parent (Category 2(C)): ₹1,500/- per month till the child attains 18 years of age. The amount is transferred electronically to the bank account of the remaining parent or child towards maintenance, health, and education. (The financial support discontinues if the child is surrendered and placed for adoption.) | Additional Benefits: | - Coverage under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (State Health Assurance Scheme). | - Entitlement under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) or the State Food Security Scheme. | - The child will be facilitated to continue his/her study free of cost in the same school where he/she was going before the death of the second parent. In case the child is shifted to another place where the kith and kin are living. The child will be admitted to a similarly placed school as far as possible. Hence, only the difference in interest of the subsidy will be paid by HWDC.

💰Loan Limit | - Loan amount of ₹ 50,00,000/- to individual women. | - Loan amount of Rs 1,00,00,000/- to self-help groups. | Margin Money | - A margin money of 25% of the sanctioned loan amount will be provided under the scheme. For women belonging to Scheduled Castes/Tribes, Scheduled Castes, widows, abandoned women, victims of violence and disabled women, the margin money will be 30% of the sanctioned loan amount. | - Note: | - The maximum limit of margin money will be ₹ 15,00,000/-. | - The applicant's own contribution (5% / 10% of the project proposal) will be considered for margin money. | - Land value will not be included in the project proposal. The maximum limit of loan amount payable for construction of workshop/building will be up to 20% of the sanctioned amount of the project proposal. | - The maximum limit of loan for business will be Rs. 10 lakh. Business refers to wholesale or retail purchase-sale of commercial products. | Promotion of collateral security free loans: | - As per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India, collateral security will not be required for loans up to Rs. 10 lakh. Loans above Rs. 10 lakh can be linked with the Credit Guarantee Trust Fund for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE). The fee amount will be borne by the beneficiary. If the applicant voluntarily wants to give collateral security on the loan, they can do so.

Internship Programme for Women Students / Scholars / Social Activists / Teachers

The Ministry of Women and Child Development launched the Internship Programme aims to harness the talent of the trainees, giving them an opportunity to work towards bringing more efficiency in the implementation of the schemes.

💰Each intern would be provided a lump sum stipend of ₹20,000/- per month and reimbursement of travel cost (by Deluxe/AC Bus/3 Tier AC Train) for joining of the programme in the Ministry and return back home at the end of the programme. | - Interns proceeding on tour as part of the programme would be reimbursed travel cost (by Deluxe/AC Bus/3 Tier AC Train) and DA as per extant Government of India rates. | - The interns would also be awarded a certificate on successful completion of the programme on terms such as submission/presentation of papers/reports of the work done. | - Interns would be provided a hostel facility on a sharing basis for the duration of their programme in Delhi. The hostel facility will only include basic amenities like triple sharing accommodation in each room with an attached bathroom, bed (mattress is not included), table, chair and cupboard. | - The hostel facility would be available from 2 days before the start of programme up to 2 days after the end of the Programme (e.g., for an internship batch starting 1st June, the hostel facility will be available from the forenoon of 30th May 2023 up to the afternoon of 2nd August 2023 for a two- month programme). | - Interns would be provided necessary logistic support such as seating arrangement, internet facility and stationery items in the Ministry. | - The interns would be provided an Internship Coordinator who would be responsible for coordinating entire internship exercise, including networking and communication with other stakeholders. | Note: Mess charges are not included as part of the accommodation and are to be borne by the intern availing the hostel facility

Mamata Scheme

In order to improve the process in curbing the high rate of mortality and infant mortality rate, the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Odisha introduced a scheme named "MAMATA" - a conditional cash transfer maternity benefit scheme.

💰Rs.3,000 shall be given during the third trimester of the pregnancy of the mother till delivery on completing the following 5 conditions: | - Pregnancy registered at AWC/Mini AWC | - Received at least 2 antenatal checkup (ANC) | - Received IFA and calcium tablets. | - Received at least 1 TT vaccination (out of optimal 2) | - Received at least 1 counselling session at AWC/Village Health/ Home Visit. | The first 4 conditions shall be verified from MCP Card. On completing the above requirements first instalment shall be released. | - Rs.2,000 shall be after completion of 10 months after delivery on fulfilment of following conditions: | - Child birth is registered at AWC or HSC. | - Child has received BCG vaccination. | - Child has received Pentavalent 1 & 2 & 3 vaccinations. | - Child has received Polio 1 & 2 & 3 vaccinations. | - Child has received Rotavirus 1 & 2 & 3 vaccinations. | - Child has received Measles vaccine before attaining 1 year of age. | - Child has received Vitamin-A first dose before attaining 1 year of age | - Mother has attended at least six Growth Monitoring and IYCF counselling sessions after delivery till 9 months | - Child has been exclusively breastfed for first six months (self-certification by the beneficiary) | - Child has been introduced to complementary food on completion of six months of age (self- certification by the beneficiary) | - Child is being fed age-appropriate complementary feeding and continuing (self- certification by the beneficiary) | Note: Overall, Rs.5,000 in two instalments as incentive is provided to mothers.
