Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana (Scholarship For Promotion Of Aptitude & Research In Stamps As A Hobby)

"Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana" awards annual scholarships to students who have good academic records and are also pursuing 'Philately' as a hobby. The objective is to “Promote Philately among children at a young age in a sustainable manner that can reinforce and supplement the academic curriculum.

💰Amount of Scholarship | - The amount of the Scholarship is to be ₹ 6,000/- per annum @ ₹ 500/- per month. | - IPPB/POSB will ensure that the scholarship is paid to awardees on a quarterly basis (Rs. 1500/- each quarter) after getting the list from each Circle. | Renewability | - Selections to the scholarship would be for one year. | - An already selected student can apply for the scholarship next year provided he/she fulfils other criteria. | Mentor | - Every prospective school which participates in the competition would be assigned a Philately Mentor to be chosen from amongst the renowned Philatelist. | - The Philately Mentor would help in the formation of the School level Philately Club, providing guidance to young and aspiring Philatelists on how to pursue the hobby and also helping the aspiring Philatelists with their Philately Projects etc.

Innovation In Science Pursuit For Inspired Research (INSPIRE) - Faculty Fellowship

The "INSPIRE FACULTY FELLOWSHIP" component provides opportunities to 100 persons every year with Ph.D. qualifications in the age group of 27-32 years for 5 years to carry out research in both basic and applied science areas including engineering, medicine, agriculture, and veterinary sciences.

💰Amount | - Each selected INSPIRE Faculty Fellow will be eligible to receive a consolidated amount of ₹1,25,000/- per month as a fellowship with an annual increment of ₹2,000/-. | - In addition, a Research Grant of ₹7,00,000 every year for 5 years will also be provided to each successful candidate including the carry-forward amount, if any, from the previous year. | - The consolidated amount of ₹1,25,000/- per month is an all-inclusive fellowship and taxable as per the Indian IT Act. | Duration | - The INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship is for a maximum period of 5 (five) years.

Mukhyamantri Uchcha Shiksha Shodh Protsahan Yojana

The scheme aims to promote high-quality, interdisciplinary research in higher education institutions across state. The broad subject areas for research include Science, Arts & Humanities, Home Science, & Commerce & Management, while proposals in interdisciplinary subject areas are also encouraged.

💰The maximum research grant provided by the state government is ₹15 lakh, which may be increased up to ₹18 lakh in special circumstances.

SERB International Research Experience

The Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), a statutory body under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India has launched "SERB International Research Experience (SIRE)".

💰The selected fellows will be paid a monthly fellowship amount equivalent to US $ 3000. | - One-time Contingency/Preparatory allowances of ₹75,000/- to cover visa fees, airport transfer charges, insurance, etc., | - Overseas Medical Insurance in India and abroad of ₹20,000/-. | - The selected fellows will also be provided the shortest route economy class airfare from their place of work in India to the place of the host institute and back. | Note 01: The maximum duration of the abroad visit is limited to 06 months. | Note 02: For scientists/researchers in regular employment, rules governing payment of salary, leave, medical, gratuity, GPF pension, etc. of the organization/ institution/ university to which the fellow belongs would continue to be applicable as per their institutional norms. No liability on any of these will be borne by SERB.

TEC Internship Scheme

The ‘TEC Internship Scheme’ intends to engage 25 Interns in order to study/formulate/operationalize/assess various works/projects/policies etc. The internship will provide an opportunity for young scholars to contribute to the TEC work and have insight into the related technical work.

💰Token Amount | The interns will be paid a token amount of ₹ 15,000/- per month. | Certificate | The Interns will be issued a Certificate at the end of the internship.

The Wired Internet Scheme for Information and Communication Technology Laboratory in Schools in the State of Goa

The scheme aims to provide monthly rental reimbursement to avail internet services to the Information and Communication Technology Laboratory in Government and Government-Aided Schools in the State of Goa. It provides a maximum monthly reimbursement of ₹2,000/- for internet rental.

💰Monthly rental reimbursement of up to ₹2,000/-. | - The benefit is intended to avail internet service to the respective school's Information and Communication Technology Laboratory. | Disbursement | - Financial support will be released to the Head of Government and Government-Aided Schools through the Directorate of Education. | - The Deputy Director Education of each Educational Zone shall draw and disburse the financial support on receipt of the sanction order, based on the selection procedure. | Conditions | - The school shall maintain proper records/register. | - The financial support shall be utilized for the purpose for which it is sanctioned and shall not be utilized or diverted for any other purposes. | - Any portion of financial support which is not utilized or is not ultimately required for the purpose for which it is sanctioned, shall be remitted to the Government Treasury. | - The accounts/registers and other records of this scheme shall be open to check by the Director of Education or his authorized representatives.

Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT: Full Time PhD Candidates

The scheme aims at generating a total of 1000 Full-time PhD Candidates in emerging research areas of Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) and IT/IT Enabled Services (ITES) sectors over a period of 5 years.

💰Financial Support for Full-time PhD candidates: | - Fellowship: ₹38,750/- per month in 1st & 2nd year and @₹43,750/- per month in 3rd, 4th and 5th years of PhD. (support till PhD completion or 5 years whichever is earlier). 1. Reimbursement of Rent (RoR): This component is linked with the fellowship of a PhD Candidate. The rate of RoR is 24%, 16% & 8% (of fellowship) for X, Y & Z class cities/towns respectively. 1. Institutional Overheads: An amount of ₹25,000/Year/Full-time PhD candidate for support duration of PhD candidate to be given to the institution. The institutional overhead will be released after completion of required tenure by the respective candidate on pro-rata basis. 1. Research Contingency Grant Support: An amount of ₹1,20,000/Year/Full-time PhD candidate for support duration of the PhD candidate. 1. Support to attend selected International Conferences up to ₹1.5 Lakh per Full Time PhD candidate from 3rd year. 1. One time support for selected 250 Full Time PhD candidates from 3rd year for 6 months “Visit to Labs Abroad”. The support would be available to the selected Full Time PhD candidates with following guidelines: | - During the visit, the Monthly Fellowship will be ₹1.50 Lakh. | - The Travel/Visa expenses up to ₹1.50 Lakh is provided. | - During this period, the domestic Fellowship and Reimbursement of Rent (RoR) will be suspended.

Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT: Part Time PhD Candidates

The scheme aims at generating a total of 150 Part-time PhDs in emerging research areas of Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) and IT/IT Enabled Services (IT/ITES) sectors over a period of 5 years.

💰Part-time PhD candidates will receive a one-time incentive of ₹3,00,000/- upon successful completion of their PhD degree and reporting of the same to PhD Cell through their institution with PhD completion documents.

Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT: Post-Doctoral Fellowships (PDF)

This fellowship is meant for those who have a proven track record as evident from their research publications & recognitions. Support is provided for 225 Post-Doctoral Fellowships for candidates for a period of 1 year, to encourage specialized research in emerging area.

💰Nature of Support: | - Research Fellowship: ₹1.08 Lakh/Month - Contingency Grant: ₹1 Lakh for 1 year (on re-imbursement and pro-rata basis depending on the period spent under the award). The claim would be submitted by the awardee through respective institution to PhD Cell in prescribed format. - The fellowship is tenable only in India and can be implemented in any of the recognized & eligible academic and R&D institutions. | - Contingency Grant can be used for minor equipment, consumables and similar items relevant to the research work. The host institution should provide necessary administrative and infrastructural support for the PDF fellow. | - There is no provision for providing research personnel support under the scheme. The fellow is expected to undertake the research objectives by himself/herself during the entire duration of the fellowship. | - PDF is a full-time assignment. The fellows are not eligible to receive any other fellowship from any Government or Non-Government source during the tenure of the fellowship. | - Post-doctoral positions are non-transferrable. The research work is to be carried out in the same eligible institution at which PDF seat is allocated and the fellow is enrolled. | Duration of Support: | - The fellowship is purely a temporary assignment, and is tenable for a period of 1 year. | - The award will be for one year initially and extendible based on performance review by PhD Cell, DIC, MeitY.

Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT: Young Faculty Research Fellowships

This fellowship is meant for Young Faculty having regular position at their institution and proven track record in research. Support is provisioned for 50 candidates, for an initial period of support of 2 years, extendible till 5 years based on performance review.

💰Nature of Support: | - Research Fellowship: ₹20,000/- per month, in addition to the regular salary - Research Contingency Grant: ₹5,00,000/- per year for a maximum of 5 years - The fellowship is tenable only in India and can be implemented in any of the recognized & eligible academic and R&D institution. | - Research Contingency Grant can be used for minor equipment, consumables and domestic travel. The host institution should provide necessary administrative and infrastructural support for YFRF. | - The fellows are not eligible to receive any other fellowship from any Government or Non-Government source during the tenure of the fellowship. | - YFRFs are non-transferrable. The research work is to be carried out in the same eligible institution though which YFRF proposal was submitted. | Duration of Support: | - The fellowship is purely a temporary assignment, and is tenable for a maximum period of 05 years. | - The award will initially be for 2 years and further extendible, based on performance review.
