Under this scheme, there is a special provision for the free distribution of seeds or saplings of medicinal plants up to 3 nali and seeds or saplings of aromatic plants up to 5 nali to farmers belonging to border districts, Scheduled Castes/Tribes, and Below Poverty Line (BPL) categories.

💰SCHEDULE-IV and V under FCO 1985:- | - Castor cake/Neem cake/ Liquid Fermented Organic Manure: 75% of the purchase price or ₹9,000/- per hectare, whichever is less. This assistance is for a maximum of two hectares per account. | OR | - Green manuring (hemp/Ikkad seeds): 75% of the purchase price or ₹3,000/- per hectare, whichever is less. A total of ₹6,000/- per person, whichever is less, is provided for hemp (60 kg) or Ikkad (50 kg) seeds per hectare. District Plan - Sugarcane Development Scheme

The scheme aims to enhance sugarcane productivity & quality in Uttarakhand by providing financial & technical support to farmers for improved seed production, seed & soil treatment, pest & disease management, thereby promoting sustainable farming & strengthening the livelihoods of sugarcane growers.

💰Scheme for Improved Sugarcane Seed Production: A subsidy of ₹1,000/- per hectare (₹2,000/- per hectare for SC/ST farmers) is provided for established/base nurseries, and ₹500/- per hectare (₹1,000/- per hectare for SC/ST farmers) is provided for primary nurseries. 1. Seed/Soil Treatment: A 50% subsidy is provided in all sugar mill areas for chemicals used in seed and soil treatment. Of this, 25% is contributed by the government, while the remaining 25% is shared equally by the Sugarcane Development Council and the sugar mill. 1. Sugarcane Stalk Base (Pedi) Management Program: To protect ratoon sugarcane crops from pests and diseases, a 50% subsidy is provided in all sugar mill areas for pesticides used in pest and disease control. The subsidy comprises 25% contribution from the government, with the remaining 25% shared by the Sugarcane Development Council and the sugar mill.

The scheme aims to facilitate the easy and timely transportation of sugarcane from farms to purchasing centers and sugar mills by improving inter-village road connectivity in sugarcane-growing areas.

💰Under the scheme, efforts are made to facilitate the transportation of sugarcane from farms to purchasing centers for farmers and to ensure the supply of fresh sugarcane to sugar mills. Of the total expenditure on the selected routes, 75% is borne through a government grant, while the remaining 25% is contributed by the beneficiary institutions.
